Soak It! Bath & Bodycare is a 100% small batch luxury skincare provider located in Alberta and focused on Albertans’ skincare needs. Born and raised in Calgary, and currently based in both Calgary and Grande Prairie, MJ Parker created a unique, internationally inspired blend of botanicals and extracts and modified them for what your skin needs in our unique climate.

 

MJ started this business in 2014 as a means of bringing quality products into her own home. As someone who suffers extensively from allergies, anxiety, and asthma, commercial and many handmade products were triggering reactions. With an BBA in Business and a passion for science, MJ started creating and modifying her favorite products key ingredients into her luxury skincare and bodycare collection. One of MJ’s first experiments was an all-natural, aluminum-free deodorant that was designed to combat even the strongest of odors and be beneficial for skin. Over the years she has perfected this design using botanicals grown right in Alberta and oils harvested from her family’s country in India! She is passionate about her work and is confident you will love it too!

 

Whether it is beeswax sourced from various small farmers as to not drain a hive, raw Saskatoons at the peak of harvest, or organically cultivated Calendula from her own garden, MJ strives to use ingredients that are harvested sustainably and ethically first, and locally when available. She then uses these raw ingredients to make her own infusions, enfleurage and extracts that become the base of all her products.

 

Products are 100% filler free meaning that there’s nothing diluting down your formulas and everything that goes on your skin is essential! It also means that the products last twice as long! Products are low-scent or unscented. Most products do not contain fragrances of any type. This is because of the nature of the products, scent is not adding any benefit to the end use so it is removed.
